Michael Jackson's legacy of love lives on as fans continue to transform lives in Liberia
- Published Date

Michael Jackson's legacy of love is alive and well, thanks to devoted fans from across the world, who are committed to making a difference in his memory.
Just seven months into the launch of MJL, thanks to fans spanning across 24 countries, seven destitute children are being sponsored, and over £6700 ($10,475 USD) has been raised for the building of Everland Children's Home, which will be equipped to give a safe and secure home to 50 children from the slums of Liberia and the neighbouring war-torn Ivory Coast.
One little boy, who is being sponsored by a kind-hearted fan from Vietnam, has written a heartfelt letter to sponsors to express his gratitude. He says: "Dear sponsors, may I take this time to thank you for the decision you have taken to help Africans, especially Liberians. As you have taken this decison, God in his mercy will restore all you have deposited in our education. We are grateful to all who have taken this decision to reach to us." It is signed so sweetly with "It's Darine".

Another two little girls have had their lives transformed by a dedicated sponsor from Italy and a loving family from the USA respectively. These two young girls, once too poor to own a pair of shoes let alone go to school, are now able to get an education. Below, you will see Olivia and Mabel, dressed in their new school uniforms and with hope for a brighter future thanks to fans who are changing lives in Michael's memory:

Inspired and encouraged, the children excitedly look through some donated used clothes whilst at Sunday school:

The Everland children are truly grateful for all the support they have received. Below, you will find pictures of some of the children holding cards and gifts that they have received from sponsors and donors across the world. These things mean a great deal to children who have so little and who, until this time, had never received mail from abroad. Let's hope and pray that Christmas 2012 brings even bigger surprises, in the form of a new, safe and secure home called EVERLAND!
